Sitting completely still and being quiet takes work. Most people don't ever do ... in fact alot of us were told as kids "don't just sit there, do something!" And yet there is great value in the opposite... "don't do something, just sit there!". If you haven't ever used your quiet muscles it can be a bit like never using your leg muscles and then having to learn to walk! So maybe start with just one minute per day of complete stillness and quiet and build up slowly... "but what do I do?" I hear you ask... "absolutely nothing but observe" comes the reply. Just see what is below the surface. Just notice and be curious and if 'nothing happens' even the better!
This is all about building a relationship with yourself, for yourself in the present.
