If I said we need to be silent what would you think?
For me, silence is not just about not talking... even when we don't speak the inner chatter often continues relentlessly.
One great way to turn down the volume is when we eat. Meal times can be a great way of catching up with family and friends, but how about eating in silence so that we can focus completely on the taste, smell and texture of our food? Giving thanks to those who grew the food, picked the food, cooked the food?
That way we eat our food and not continue with negative thought patterns.
Once our meal is over we can chat away...
