I expect we would all agree that Life is 'up and down' ... one moment everything feels ok or great and then things happen, this clashes with that and before we know where we are we feel low, overwhelmed, angry or lost.
If, however we see this up and down for what it is ... Life ... which for the most part we don't have control over, we can accept and be more peaceful in our Mind... rather than chasing a perfect Life, just enjoy all of Life, the ups and the downs.
