Corporate Consultancy Projects

This document is a brief overview of my approach in regard to cultural repositioning of corporate, private and public sector organisations. Using a mindfulness and wellbeing approach based in neuroscience and Buddhist psychology.

In today's society we seem to have lost sight of the fact that an organisation is made up of the inter-dependent elements of all its employees. These people perform vital functions as individuals, within teams and as a whole to enable the 'company' to be successful, reach its goals and fulfil the core values and mission statement. So, just like the vital elements of a human body all functioning together to ensure a person is well, when a particular organ of a human body stops functioning or is prevented from performing to its optimum the body becomes unwell. An organisation with poor leadership, unclear communication or a culture of not supporting the teams and individuals to perform, risk a similar breakdown and ultimately 'unwell-ness'. Where an organisation has a clear set of core values which have been communicated and form part of an employee induction, once these core values are not adhered to in regard to personal conduct by individuals and teams, the organisational values, leadership and direction are put at risk.

HOW TO RESET CULTURE AND ENSURE SUCCESS

- Period of consultation with all teams and SLT to establish 'the good, the bad and the ugly'

- Identification of proposed cultural shift

- Setting group parameters for attainment of new cultural approach

- Ensuring all teams and individuals feel seen and heard, using an inclusive approach

- Establish a clear strategy for communication and tracking of success

- Implement a robust well-being program to reduce staff sickness

- Implement a critical incident debrief policy

- Develop a conflict resolution education pack for SLT and all teams

- Review the organisation's Core Values in-line with a collective group approach to supporting well-being and respect for all views
