A rhythm

robbunting

Creating daily rituals can be a great way of reducing stress, placing ourselves in a calm, happy space. They can be used to confort us or motivate us or make us feel we belong. They provide us with a rhythm to our day.

Rituals do not need to be religious. They simply prepare our mind and body for something that comes next... like laying the table ready for dinner, or the way in which we put on our running clothes ready for exercise.

A bedtime ritual can be a lovely way of preparing yourself for sleep, helping to quiet our mind. Even doing certain things at certain times of the day are ritualistic and so the body and mind come to 'know' what will come next, initiating quiet and peace.

What will be your rhythm for today?
