Multitasking vs Mono-tasking...

Every day we all create a narrative around being 'too busy'. As a result we convince ourselves to do more than one thing at once, or end up doing nothing at all! We check our emails whilst eating or we plan our day whilst driving. We even replay events whilst supposedly being with family and friends. We seem to be always moving on to the next thing before finishing what we are doing. We can get so overwhelmed we enter a loop of procrastination and achieve very little and then use this to beat ourselves up!

When we set an intention to just do what ever we are doing right now we find that we slow down slightly. We tend to be less distracted and as such make less mistakes. We can even become more productive and as a result feel more energized and calmer.

How about having a day today of mono-tasking rather than Multitasking and then review how this feels.

Have fun!
